![]() Apply masking tape on the inside of the glass and wrap it over to the outside. Lastly, once the seals are on and the windows are ready to go back in the car tape the seal back. It's not imperative, but it gives a cleaner look. Also, try to line the seams of the seals up with the spot where the frame pieces meet. Getting the frame back on can be tough, so you can use a mallet if you have issues closing the gap. I used silicone spray, but it can be messy so I would recommend trying the soapy water first. After the frames are apart you can use silicone spray or soapy water to install the seals. Worst case scenario is that the screws will have to be extracted and you will have to get new screws, just be careful not to mess up the threads in the frame. If that is the case you can use PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench, anything that helps free rusty parts. More often than not, the screws holding the frame together are frozen by rust. You may have some trouble getting the frames apart.
